Kendall & Davies Bourton-on-the-Water Office

Records at the Bourton office show that there has been a legal practice there since at least 1742 and successive generations of the Kendall family practised from there until the 1940's.

W.G. Davies Esq. (Known to many as Tony Davies) joined the practice after he qualified in 1948 and in 1959 it became Kendall & Davies.  Initially Mr Davies practiced as a sole practitioner and he was supported by a managing clerk, a cashier, a probate clerk and two or three secretaries.

There are now ten members of staff at the Bourton office, including Mr Davies, who pops in from time to time. Work at the office is split almost equally between litigation, probate and conveyancing.
